29th BFF WINNERS
On June 7, 2026, 29th Brooklyn Film Festival prizes were assigned during the Awards Ceremony at 100 Sutton Studios. 1001 Frames by Mehrnoush Alia won the Best Narrative Feature and picked up the Grand Chameleon Award. Celtic Utopia by Dennis Harvey and Lars Lovén won the Best Documentary Feature. Rodrigo by Jacob Vaughan took home the award for Best Narrative Short. Click here to check the full list.
BFF Exchange 2026 - Pitch Competition Winners
During the Documentary Day (Wednesday, June 3), BFF Exchange panels discussed sports, law and contracts, music. Congratulations to the winner of the Short Doc Pitch competition, Neha Aziz, whose film Wagah now has a guaranteed screening slot in BFF 2027! The Narrative Day (Thursday, June 4) focused on narrative filmmaking with panels discussing casting, writing for the screen, and film funding along with the Narrative Pitch Competition. Congratulations to the winner of the Brooklyn Exchange Final Pitch Competition, The Fall by Kiana Rawji! Our student pitch winner was Would You Hold Me Just One Last Time by Myles Jackson. An honorable mention went to It Can't Be You by Nawal Mubin.
