Synopsis
This video is a representation of the convergence of multi-dimensional layers of past and present, reflected in the constant of humanity. It's an homage to our legacy as well as to our future, and suggests the infinite and unknown possibilities of things to come inextricably tied to that which has already been. This video is a collaboration between filmmaker Patricia Gloum and Fashion Designer Manuel Fernandez of the Fashion Art Institute. The unique clothing piece is designed by Manuel Fernandez and painted by artist Bernardo Medina.
About the director
Born in Boston, to Spanish and Greek lovers, Patricia Gloum is a New York City based Fashion Film and Experimental Director. At the age of one, Gloum and her gypsy family moved to Paris in France where she was raised. After completing her Bachelor degree in Graphic Design & Advertising at Ecole Intuit lab, Gloum moved to Berlin to pursue an Art Direction career in Advertising. After being incapable of sitting on a chair the whole day, she *consciously and boldly* shifted to what makes her feel alive: video-making. Gloum is an experimental pirate: she hunts for new techniques, hails her films as "little pieces of moving art" and constantly upsets the waters of linear forms with asymmetric story telling. Most recently, Gloum directed a Fashion Film for Refinery29 and worked on the Milk Makeup line video series launch. Gloum has specialized in working with models creating an assortment of Fashion Films. Gloum is manifesting a Fashion Film for the prestigious Vogue Taiwan with model Maria Palm and has collaborated with notable model Charlotte Carey for L'Officiel ID. In addition Gloum has worked in inspiring ways with a diverse and well-known group of musicians such as Tove lo, Elle King, Børns and David Guetta with her work for The Untitled Magazine. Gloum's well-versed nature in music, fashion and culture informs her videography and ushers her film-making anywhere; from Paris, Berlin, New York and LA. Gloum continues to flourish and innovate with her conceptual films, meshing her worlds together and bringing her Art to life, and her life into Art.
