Synopsis
A documentary short that explores the effects that life on the job as a Long Beach firefighter has on engineer Ryan Sweeney's home life and overall mental health.
About the director
Justin Rowe Tolliver is an up-and-coming filmmaker known for his comedy horror short film “The Rolling Shadow” which has garnered 12 film festival selections in 2022, winning “Best Short Film” Bronze Award & “Best Director” Gold Award at the LA Shorts Award Film Festival. Justin also won a Remi Award at the 2023 Houston International Film Festival for the short film “A Touch of Kindness“.
In 2023 his anticipated projects are “A Touch of Kindness: Man of Fire”, a documentary short film on the topic of mental health and “Name Image Likeness“, a sports drama. Justin looks to produce his first feature length film “When The Saints Go” under his production company “Tolliver Productions” in 2024.
Justin is also an Executive Producer of the short film “Just Before Sundown” by Don B Welch, expected to be released summer 2023. Justin has worked in television as a director's assistant on the upcoming drama series “Hush” as well as 2nd Assistant Director on several short films.
Originally from New Orleans, Justin attended the University of Southern California as an athlete winning two college football championships with the Trojans.
