Synopsis
Back to his hood in the North Side of Marseille, South of France, Kaleem accepts a job in construction.
He reconnects with his best friend Rachad who wants to hire him as manager in his new sport center.
Kaleem is training hard Krump and meets a mysterious greek architect : Marie.
About the director
Pascal Tessaud was born in Paris and earned a Master's degree in Cinema and Literature at Nanterre Université Paris X.
After three years as social worker in Saint Denis, he directed awarded short films "Noctambules" with the palestinian actress Hiam Abbass, "Noura's summer" (Fuji award at Grenoble) and "La Ville Lumière" (Grand prix at Hip Hop film fest of New York). In 2014, he wrote, directed and produced his first feature film "Brooklyn" selected at ACID's section of Cannes International Film Festival, Urban World film festival of New York, Rio de Janeiro, La Habana (Cuba), Colcoa/ DGA Los Angeles, Mill Valley, Goteborg, London, Montreal, Toronto, etc . "Brooklyn" received the Grand Prix of Best score ensemble at Music and Cinema film fest of Aubagne, Best actress at Hip Hop Film Festival of New York and Milano international film festival, Best foreigner feature film at Hip Hop Film Festival of New York and at Urban film festival of Miami. He also directed acclaimed music documentaries about Spoken Word "Words are burning us", "Beatbox Boom Bap around the world" selected at FIPA Biarritz, Indie Lisboa, Hip Hop Film Fest of New York, Urban World film fest New York, Museum Moving Image of Queens, Urban film festival of Paris etc. in 2019 "Paris 8, the Hip Hop university" was selected at FAME film festival Paris, Hip Hop Film Festival of NYC, Urban film festival of Paris etc.
