About the director
Amalia Fuzulova is an Uzbekistan-born filmmaker and video artist based in New York City. Holding a BFA in Filmmaking from the New York Film Academy, where she has self-produced and directed several micro-shorts, showcasing her visual style and storytelling skills. Prior to her move to the U.S., Amalia has worked at a documentary production company in Germany. Her latest work, GARDEN OF AIDEN, is an experimental case study exploring the complexities of heartbreak in the age of digital media. Amalia’s passion lies in capturing the essence of coming-of-age/adolescence themes, constantly drawing inspiration from her own nomadic experience of changing 11 schools while living on 5 continents during her teenage years.
