Synopsis
Li-Da was airlifted from Cambodia as a baby girl, and adopted by British restaurateur Prue Leith and her writer husband Rayne Kruger. With little information, Li-Da returns after 26 years, to discover the truth about her parents and the country of her birth. This is a film with a gripping personal narrative, with tears and triumph, with some humour as well as disappointment. And in the most painful and poignant way, explores how a country wrestles with the concepts of justice and truth in relation to its bloody past and despite this can still find hope and optimism for the future.
