Synopsis
Carla runs away from home with grand plans of traveling to Lyon to study fashion. When her luggage is stolen at the train station, she is forced to accept a man named Rico's offer of a job on his construction site so that she can earn money to finance her journey. On the construction site she finds a boat transformed into a bar, the residence of a sister and brother, Lucie and Michael. The boat is Lucie's home, where she is content to spend the rest of her life. It's here that Lucie and Carla, with their completely different concepts of life, are brought together by destiny. Through their friendship Carla realizes what it means to have a place in life, and for Lucie a new, bigger world unfolds. Shortly before continuing her journey Carla discovers she is pregnant. Her dreams seem broken, but Lucie, who strongly wishes Carla to stay, proposes that she have the baby posing as Lucie, who will raise the child as her own. Carla agrees. Until the child's birth both girls hide in an apartment, and Michael settles down with them as a confidant. But as time passes, Carla decides she wants to keep her baby. As tensions escalate, the two mothers must together come to a decision.
